THE STORY.
Tot Shots was opened in 2009 by sisters Rebecca Edwards and Hannah McConnell after frustration with the current options for baby and child photography in the Spokane area. After trying all the competition there were a few things that they both knew they could improve on in their new venture: taking advantage of the current technology and printing instantly in house as opposed to waiting weeks for portrait delivery, providing a modern looking portrait with innovative props and background designs, easy availability and open hours, and excellent customer service without paying extreme pricing or sitting fees. These tenets make Tot Shots Spokane's premier studio photography resulting in a very loyal customer following. Not much has changed since 2009, Rebecca owns and runs the business operations to provide Hannah more time with her children but these things remain the same: Tot Shots has never charged a sitting fee or cost per person, we print all photo sheets while you wait, we take excellent photos of children, babies, and families in a modern and friendly setting, are open seven days a week with regular schedules and we strive to provide the single best customer service experience our clients have ever had. We do all this and then some, keeping the cost of our products and service low.

Rebecca Edwards was born and raised in Spokane. She started photographing children in 2000 before taking a break for work and school in a different field. The love of photography called her back and in 2009 Tot Shots was opened. An expert baby whisperer and toddler negotiator extraordinaire, celebrating families with portraits is her dream come true. When not at work you can find her downtown enjoying the community and fabulous restaurants with her husband Joe.

She and her husband Sean are the proud parents of two boys, Locklin and Calhoun. She has been with Tot Shots since it's inception and is the creative force behind most sets, props and background choices. Her passion for photography extends outdoors where she truly captures families and individuals highlighting the beautiful locations in and around her hometown of Spokane. In her free time she enjoys home decor, sewing, having urban chickens, gardening and cooking.

Janae Nelson grew up in the Spokane area and received a bachelor's degree from Washington State University. She enjoys reading fantasy novels, painting, and spending time with her cats. During her days off you can find her exploring the outdoors, playing volleyball, or shopping at Target.
